About the Role
Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources team. This is a strategic and hands-on role, providing comprehensive HR support across the refinery. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to line managers, lead key HR initiatives, and champion a culture of engagement, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Support: Advise managers and employees on HR policies, employment law, and best practices.
- Employee Relations: Lead dialogue with union and employee reps, manage grievances and disciplinary processes.
- Recruitment & Succession: Oversee end-to-end recruitment, support succession planning, and conduct job evaluations.
- HR Projects: Drive the implementation of corporate HR initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Wellbeing & Absence Management: Collaborate with Occupational Health and lead wellbeing strategies.
- Change Management: Support leadership through organisational transformation.
- Coaching & Development: Guide managers on capability, performance, and behavioural development.
- HR Systems & Analytics: Operate HRIS (Employee Central), manage SAP requisitions, and provide workforce insights.
- Budgeting: Assist in preparing HR budgets and forecasts.
- Support: Ability to cover for the HR Manager.
What We’re Looking For
- CIPD qualified (or working towards it); degree in HR or Business preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in a refinery or similar environment.
- Skilled in recruitment, succession planning, and HR project delivery.
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and analytical skills.
- Experience with psychometric testing is a plus.
