Location: Houston, Texas
The role is responsible to coordinate all physical moves with counterparties, including scheduling vessels, barges, pipelines, trucks, and railcar. This role will work closely with the traders to optimize profit by employing best operational practices and decision-making. In addition, you will work with other internal support groups and external customers to manage all operations details.
Principal Responsibilities
- Schedule the domestic transportation for crude oil and other relevant natural gas liquids by pipeline, truck, rail, in/out of equity storage and plants, as well as volumes received or delivered from 3rd party plants and pipelines
- Reviews and ensures accuracy of contract information in assigned system and contract obligations are fulfilled
- Monitor and adjust nominations across various pipeline systems and with truck carriers according to long/short positions to ensure contracted volumes are delivered to points of sale
- Maintain daily reports to keep marketing personnel informed of production volumes and long/short positions
- Ensures accuracy of all invoices and cumulative balances are kept at a minimum, working with other departments to facilitate timely crude movements, invoicing, and payments
- Develop good working relationships with customers by maintaining communication and exchange accurate information/data customers/shippers to track, balance, account and report volumes and movements
- Responsible for ensuring that documentation is received, coded, booked and forwarded to accounting when necessary
Knowledge & Experience
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, in a technical or related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree, is required
- Ability to work independently within a dynamic, fast paced, and business critical trading environment
- Knowledge of safety, environmental and transportation regulations and procedures; capable of writing effective instructions

- Possess effective planning and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Must be highly motivated and possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication, customer service is necessary to create mutual respect with peers and a positive work environment
- Advanced computer skills particularly in MS Excel to provide written reports and spreadsheets as well as the ability to learn new programs
